Manama: Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Bourse, in collaboration with the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM), will host The Market 2.0 Conference on 20 November 2025, focusing on the theme Disruptive Digital Transformation in Capital Markets.

The high-profile event will provide an international platform to discuss how innovation and emerging technologies are reshaping global financial markets to enhance efficiency, inclusivity, and sustainability. Over 300 participants and 18 expert speakers including representatives from stock exchanges, financial regulators, brokerage firms, and global technology providers are expected to attend.

Opening with a keynote by Mr Yusef Al-Yusef, Chairman of Bahrain Bourse, the conference will feature two major panel discussions. The first will explore strategies to deepen Bahrain’s capital-market ecosystem, with insights from HE Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The second will address the rapid evolution of financial-market technology, led by CEOs of leading regional stock exchanges.

Mr Al-Yusef expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s patronage, noting that it reflects the government’s commitment to advancing Bahrain’s capital markets and their role in national economic growth under Vision 2030. He emphasized that Bahrain’s hosting of the event reaffirms its position as a regional hub for financial innovation and its dedication to promoting dialogue on regulatory and legislative development.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, added that the conference would drive practical collaboration among exchanges and intermediaries. The Market 2.0 moves the dialogue beyond concepts into coordinated action that positions our markets for sustainable growth and global relevance, he said.

The event is supported by leading financial institutions, with Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) as Platinum Sponsors, Infotech Group as Gold Sponsor, and Edaa (Qatar), GFH Financial Group, ITRS, MEMX, Sahm Capital, and Al Salam Bank as Silver Sponsors. Nasdaq and Thndr join as Exhibitor Sponsors, while Alayam and Zawya serve as Media Partners.
