In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, a ladies-only gathering titled “Give to Gain – Women’s Tea Talk” was held at the Jeddah office premises of Saudi media personality and businesswoman Dr. Sameera Aziz. The informal gathering aimed to create a platform for dialogue, networking, and encouragement among women from diverse backgrounds.Speaking at the gathering, Dr. Sameera Aziz highlighted the outstanding progress of women in the Kingdom.
“In Saudi Arabia, we are witnessing remarkable transformation. Under the vision of our leadership and Vision 2030, women are stepping into new roles in business, media, sports, aviation, technology, entrepreneurship, and many more. It is inspiring to see Saudi women contributing confidently to the Kingdom’s growth and future,” she said.

Reflecting on the theme #GiveToGain, Dr. Sameera Aziz explained that the concept carries a powerful message about generosity, support, and empowerment among women.
“In life, we often think success comes from what we receive, but the truth is that the greatest success often comes from what we give. Sometimes the greatest encouragement comes from another woman simply saying, ‘I believe in you. Keep going.’ That is why we chose to celebrate this Women’s Day through a friendly tea talk — to listen to women, allow them to express themselves, and share experiences through informal conversation.”
The welcoming team for the gathering included Santhi Mallesh, Areej Iskander, and Reem Eskander, who assisted in hosting the participants. The gathering featured tea, coffee, samosas, and biryani in a relaxed environment at the office auditorium, designed for networking, conversation, and inspiration among participants.
Dhanu Hasini introduced the event, explaining that:“International Women’s Day (IWD), observed globally on 8 March, celebrates the achievements of women and promotes gender equality across societies. The international movement is supported by organizations, communities, and institutions worldwide, encouraging greater participation, leadership, and empowerment of women.”

She further highlighted that the current global advocacy message emphasizes “Rights. Justice. Action. for ALL Women and Girls,” underlining the importance of equal rights, fairness, and concrete steps to remove barriers faced by women and girls around the world.
The women wore the theme colors, as International Women’s Day is traditionally represented by purple, green, and white, with purple symbolizing justice and dignity. The initiative was officially registered with the International Women’s Day global community, highlighting its alignment with worldwide efforts celebrating women’s achievements and promoting positive engagement.
Dr. Sameera Aziz expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to host the gathering and bring women together in a spirit of connection and encouragement. She also extended gratitude to the supporters who contributed to making the meetup possible, including GIO, Biryani Bytes, Lamsa Clinics, BarBQ Tonight, Event 7 Production, Expo, and the Sameera Aziz Women’s Cricket Team, whose goodwill reflects growing support for community-driven initiatives celebrating women.
The organizers hope that the gathering will strengthen connections among women and contribute to the spirit of International Women’s Day, which continues to inspire communities around the world to recognize the achievements, resilience, and potential of women.
