Islamabad: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider presented the prestigious Diwan Bahadur S.P. Singha Award 2025 to Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem, Chairman of the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Authority, in recognition of his outstanding contributions toward minority rights and interfaith harmony.
The award was conferred for the jointly authored publication “Islam aur Aqaliyatain” by Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem and Dr. Riaz Mahmood, Professor at Allama Iqbal Open University. Published by the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Authority, the book explores constitutional equality, minority rights, and the promotion of interfaith understanding in Pakistan.
During the ceremony, Governor Haider praised the Authority for its significant role in fostering interfaith respect, moral character-building, and societal peace. He highlighted the Authority’s efforts in establishing minority clubs, educational programs, and awareness initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and harmony across communities.
Receiving the award, Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem emphasized that minority rights, justice, and mutual respect form the cornerstone of both Pakistan’s religious and constitutional framework. He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to promoting ethical education and civic responsibility.
Scholars, social leaders, and academics attending the event lauded the efforts of Khurshid Ahmad Nadeem and Dr. Riaz Mahmood, noting that the Authority continues to play a transformative role in fostering education, ethics, and social cohesion in the country.
