The aviation sector in Saudi Arabia has recently achieved a significant milestone as the Saudi Aviation Club and Messe Frankfurt Group signed a memorandum of understanding to host the largest annual air show in the Middle East. Under this agreement, the 2025 event, previously known as the General Aviation Air Show 2025 Sand & Fun, will now be combined with Messe Frankfurt’s industrial platform, Aero Middle East, creating a larger, more comprehensive, and technologically advanced aviation exhibition.

The Kingdom now hosts 19 active aviation clubs and 46 accredited flying schools, highlighting its focus on pilot training, skill development, and broader aviation industry growth. The 2025 air show, running from November 25 to 29 at the Al Thumamah Airport in the northern part of Riyadh, is not just a public and entertainment-focused exhibition but also an important industrial platform where aviation companies, technology providers, training institutes, government entities, and private sector organizations converge.
