RIYADH: The ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference opens in the Saudi capital today under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, bringing together global leaders, investors, and policymakers to deliberate on pathways to sustainable prosperity.
The three-day event, being held at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center, carries the theme “The Key to Prosperity” and will run until October 30, 2025.
According to the organizers, the conference will serve as a high-level platform for addressing some of the most pressing global challenges and opportunities shaping the world economy. A series of closed-door sessions, beginning on October 27, will feature exchanges between leading thinkers, economists, and experts from diverse fields.
Spread over the month of October, the conference will host multiple sessions exploring themes such as productivity growth, artificial intelligence, the impact of robotics, wealth creation amid rising inequality, the geopolitical and economic implications of resource scarcity, and demographic transitions that are reshaping global development models.
A key focus of this year’s edition is on uncovering the paradoxes of innovation the complex challenges that often accompany technological and economic progress. Participants will examine how advances in policy and technology can unlock new avenues for inclusive growth, and how AI and emerging technologies are transforming global connectivity amid rising geopolitical frictions and uneven access to resources.
With 250 panel discussions, over 8,000 participants, and some 650 distinguished speakers, the FII 2025 seeks to chart a comprehensive roadmap for shared prosperity. Organizers say the conference will further reinforce Riyadh’s position as a leading global hub that convenes decision-makers from across continents to translate visionary ideas into actionable strategies.
Since its inception, the Future Investment Initiative has evolved into one of the most influential gatherings in the global economic calendar, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambitions under Vision 2030 to diversify its economy, promote innovation, and build partnerships that shape the future of global investment.
