    Muslim World League Chief Calls for Continued Unity Among Global Scholars

    ISLAMABAD: A serene and spiritually uplifting evening graced the capital on Friday, as Pakistan’s leading religious scholars hosted a grand banquet in honour of Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars.

    The gathering was more than a formal reception it emerged as a symbol of Islamic unity, intellectual leadership, and spiritual solidarity across the Muslim world. The event was attended by a distinguished array of religious, political, parliamentary, and diplomatic figures, including federal ministers, parliamentarians, representatives of the Council of Islamic Ideology, leading clerics from various schools of thought, Arab diplomats, and heads of major religious and intellectual institutions.

    The evening began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by speeches imbued with reverence and admiration for the visiting dignitary. Scholars paid glowing tributes to Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa for his tireless efforts in promoting interfaith harmony, Islamic moderation, and global Muslim unity through the platform of the Muslim World League.

    Speakers noted that under Dr. Al-Issa’s leadership, the League has become a global intellectual voice of Islam, countering extremism and sectarianism through dialogue, education, and compassion. They lauded his commitment to representing Islam’s true message of peace, tolerance, and coexistence on the world stage.

    In his keynote address, Dr. Al-Issa described Pakistan as the heart of the Muslim Ummah and a fortress of Islam. He praised the country’s scholars for their wisdom and dedication to the cause of unity, noting that Pakistani ulema are ambassadors of Islam’s message of peace, moderation, and mutual respect.

    Dr. Al-Issa also emphasized that the Muslim world’s strength lies in its intellectual cohesion and moral integrity, urging continued collaboration among scholars to confront narratives of division and misunderstanding.

    The gathering concluded with renewed pledges to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan’s religious institutions and the Muslim World League in advancing education, moderation, and interfaith understanding.
